WUC Scholarship

In 2010, the WUC Planning Committee launched the Mid-Pacific Water Users’ Conference Scholarship. The scholarship is available to students pursuing fields of study offered by the BRAE (BioResource and Agricultural Engineering) and ITRC (Irrigation Training and Research Center) departments at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. A $3,000 scholarship is awarded each year to a 2nd year student. The recipient of the scholarship is eligible to receive subsequent $1,500 scholarships for two consecutive years provided they maintain a 3.0 grade point average. The CalPoly ITRC staff, led by Dr. Stuart Styles, select each year’s recipient from the annual BRAE applicant pool. Selections are based on GPA, leadership and merit.

As of 2025, over $74,000 in scholarships have been awarded.

You may make a voluntary scholarship donation at any time by contacting us (jane@agamsi.com). If you’d like a scholarship named after your company or water district, please contact us (minimum contribution $1,000 for this opportunity).
